In Memory

Eric Aikhionbare lost a brief battle with cancer a few weeks ago. Ben Goates let me know this sad news. Here is a copy of his obituary.

In loving memory of our beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Osazuwa Eric Edo-Aikhionbare, born in Jackson, MS on January 19, 1983, taken home by our Lord on April 4, 2007 after a brief illness. He is survived by his parents, Dr. Victor and Margaret Aikhionbare, brothers, Osahon and Eseosa, sisters, Abieyuwa and Candice, grand-father, Honorable R.O. Ohonba, grandmother, Mrs. Victoria Aikhionbare, several uncles and aunts, nephews, DeVaughn and Tevious; niece, Nevaeh; and sister-in-law, Jessica. Eric lived in Salt Lake City from 1992 until he graduated from East High School in 2001, where he was all state in Football and Track. He then moved to Florida with his family and continued his education. Words cannot and will not describe what a wonderful person he was and how much he will be missed! Our hearts ache for you, but we know that you are in a better place. We know the Good Lord is taking care of you and your earthly body will no longer be able to fail you. You are too Great a loss and too Good to be forgotten! Viewing will be on Friday April 13, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. EST and 7:00-9:00 p.m. EST at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. Funeral Services on Saturday April 14, 2007 at Palms West Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405.     I heard about this and read the obit. yesterday. It is always shocking and very sad to loose a friend. I'm sorry for your loss!

  2. This is so sad. Its so strange to think someone our age is gone, life is fragile and its things like this to make us realize how grateful we are for our own lives. I'm glad he isn't sick anymore where he is. Hope you are doing ok.
